── Introducing ideas and technologies ──

The ‘TERASHIMA’ brand metal-cutting chip saws are the result of the supreme grinding technology that incorporates cutting-edge high-precision processing machines, original ideas and the skills of craftsmen.
Furthermore, we listen to our customers’ processing equipment and processing details and utilise them in our designs.
We propose the most suitable custom-made chip saws that reflect the customer’s requirements.

With a balanced array of state-of-the-art processing machines, we are working to enhance our productivity and reduce delivery time on a daily basis. Through our test systems, we utilize equipment such as destruction testing equipment, a hardness tester, and a 3D microscope to conduct tests from multiple aspects and eliminate defective products. In addition, we own three cutting machines to conduct our products’ cutting quality verification and durability tests in-house, which is one of our advantages. In our production line, each worker is strongly committed to not leaving any defects for subsequent processes. This commitment enables us to maintain and improve our quality.

USU-Ti
Coated carbide tipped saw blade
For SUS solids and SUS pipes
For austenitic / ferritic / martensitic stainless steel
For PIPES
Cermet tipped saw blade
For pipes
Thin-walled pipes with tensile strength of 800 N/mm2 or more
Application: Solids, Pipes
Materials: Carbon steels, Alloy steels Carbon content: 0.15% – 0.45%
Features: The abrasion-resistant tip ensures a stable service life and a neat cutting surface in the cutting of carbon steel and alloy steel materials. This saw blade, in particular, demonstrates a significant advantage in cutting low-carbon materials.

SMS is a highly improved saw blade compared with previous models:
  • increased accuracy of the blade side
  • new method of brazing to enhance strength
  • improved roughness of the grinding side of base metal

Application: Solids, Pipes

Materials: Carbon steels, Alloy steels with carbon content < 0.45%, bearing steels, tool steels

Features: The side relief angle can reduce side resistance and heat generation during cutting, thus making this type most suited for cutting high-carbon steels, including non-thermal refining steels, thermal refining steels. High-speed cutting is also possible with this saw blade.
(Sz = 0.08 mm or more, F = 10 mm/sec or more)

Application: Solids, Pipes
Coating type: VSX-T, SX-4

Materials: For solids and pipes. For thermal refined steel with 30 HRc or higher, unannealed steel, hard-to-cut materials (e.g. Inconel)

Features: Multi-layer coated BS tipped saws with high heat conductivity can deal with the heat generated during cutting hard-to-cut materials. As cermet is used as a base material, the saws are highly regrindable and reusable.

Application: SUS solids, SUS pipes

Materials: For austenitic / ferritic / martensitic stainless steel

Features: Saw blades for cutting stainless steel materials have been developed to allow chips to easily slip off the cutting edge instead of adhering to it.

Application: SUS solids, SUS pipes

Materials: For austenitic / ferritic / martensitic stainless steel

Features: Employing carbide base material with high affinity to coating. By selecting heat-resistant coating, these saws can reduce abrasion of the blade due to work hardening while cutting stainless steel.

Application: Pipes

Coating type: TiALN, SX-3

Materials: Thin-walled pipes with tensile strength of 800N/ mm2 or more

Features: Employing highly heat-resistant and ductile tips, these saws can prevent blade breakage due to chips caught in between the blade teeth.
