  • KDA usage example 1: For pilot hole drilling for long drillsWhen drilling a deep hole of 10D or more with a long drill , it is necessary to drill a pilot hole of about 1D to 1.5D in advance. KDA with a plus tolerance can also be used as a pilot drill to drill the pilot hole (suitable for long drills with a tolerance of h7-h8, not suitable for long drills with a tolerance of e7~e8, as the step in the hole diameter would be large).
  • KDA usage example 2: For pilot hole drilling for reamers: Many holes with fit tolerances require a finishing process using a reamer. KDA can also be used for pilot hole processing for reamers. The allowance for reaming is generally set in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 mm . Select a drill diameter for use in pilot hole drilling that is 0.2 to 0.4 mm smaller than the finishing diameter.
