Line boring jigs realise general-purpose machine machining through the total design of tools and jigs. In addition to general-purpose machines, the line boring jig also provides a lot of added value, such as process intensification by switching jig movements, multiple hole machining and reduced changeover man-hours due to the upper jig / lower jig structure.

However, the introduction of specialised machines requires high capital investment and has low versatility, so machining using general-purpose machines was required.
