Amazing facts!
── Introducing ideas and technologies ──
Fuji Seiko’s angular units are lightweight and highly rigid with an optimized internal structure and body shape, and are available for grooving, small-diameter internal deburring/chamfering, and face milling, not to mention the drilling of inclined surfaces. Furthermore, the ultra-rigid “Plus Foot” type has been developed for machining with a high machining load.
This is the point!
Plus Foot
Excellent!
“Plus Foot” support pins are added to the angular unit to suppress displacement of the holder to support high-load machining such as milling.
Holder displacement reduced by up to 55%
Good!
This is the point!
Support pins are selected according to the application
Excellent!
Rigid type
Height adjustment required to match the gap between the pin and the equipment
Operating type
The support pin is automatically pressed against or retracted from the equipment side with supply air OFF/ON. No need to adjust the gap
between the pin and the equipment side. The support pin automatically locks when pressed
Development / product concept
“Current status and challenges”
Conventional angular units have low rigidity and complex internal structure, resulting in large holder size and limited machining applications to general holes.
Therefore, angular units could not be introduced in other processes where machining with the normal approach was difficult, and special jigs and equipment were required.
“Development points”
Fuji Seiko’s angular unit is lightweight and highly rigid due to its optimal internal structure and body shape. In addition to drilling holes on inclined surfaces, the unit enables machining on machining centers for grooving, small-diameter internal chamfering, and face milling, contributing to investment reduction.
