Amazing facts!

── Introducing ideas and technologies ──

The Workpiece Transfer Slipper has an upper jig and lower jig structure, which enables the handling of multiple types of workpieces by replacing only the upper jig.
In addition, the use of injection-molded resin pins prevents workpiece damage.
Furthermore, the entire jig is manufactured using a 3D printer to reduce weight and enable quick delivery.

Upper jig and lower jig structure supports a wide variety of products

Good!

The Workpiece Transfer Slipper can handle different workpieces by replacing only the upper jig.
Example target workpiece is the Cylinder head.

Injection molded resin pins prevent workpiece damage

Good!

Injection molded resin pins (polyurethane) used to match with the workpiece materials and reduce defects due to workpiece scratches. Worn pins can be replaced individually, reducing waste. The seating surface can be designed to match the shape of the workpiece.

Lightweight and quick delivery through the use of 3D printers

Good!

  • Lightweight for easy jig replacement
  • Short delivery times available

Development / product concept

“Current status and challenges”

  • With the existing slippers, the transfer slippers had to be remade each time the product type is changed, resulting in high costs.
  • The work receiving surface of the slipper was made of hard materials such as MC nylon or iron, which trapped chips and scratched the workpiece.
  • In addition, the hardness of MC nylon causes chips to stick and reduced the yield of the production line.

“Development points”

  • The “Workpiece Transfer Slipper” has a split upper and lower jig, which allows the upper jig only to be replaced during a changeover, thereby reducing investment costs.
  • The receiving surface is made of resin using our unique injection molding technology to prevent workpiece damage.

Other application examples

You can choose the most suitable material for your work from a wide range of resin materials.
Unique injection molding technology achieves higher bonding strength than adhesives.
