To cope with the environment inside the machining center, the cover is made of CFRP additive manufacturing with high strength-to-weight ratio, heat resistance, and coolant resistance. Furthermore, its ultra-light weight enables it to satisfy the weight limit of the main spindle. Simply attaching the cover to the machining center prevents chips from scattering, thereby improving production efficiency.

Chips from machining may enter the spindle during ATC, resulting in deterioration of machining accuracy and runout, causing short stops.
To prevent chips from scattering, a metal cover was added to the holder, but it was difficult to meet the weight limit of the main spindle.

The “chip scattering prevention cover” has an ultra-lightweight cover attached to the holder to prevent chips from entering the spindle side.
The CFRP additive manufactured cover has a high strength-to-weight ratio and the heat resistance and coolant resistance of nylon (the base resin), suitable for the machining center environment.
The easy to install ultra-light weight cover respects the weight limit of the main spindle, prevents problems caused by splashing chips.
